Persaudaraan Pencak Silat Salamun Alaikum (PPSSA) center was officially registered at IPSI West Java on February 27, 2016.
In addition to training sites in Jakarta, PPSSA in Indonesia has training sites in Cimande, Cibinong, West Java and also in Situbondo, Aceh and Lombok. It also has a training ground in South Africa, and Suriname.
Each PPSSA practice site maintains its own unique knowledge and style. In Cimande, of course using Cimande movement, in Situbondo using its own original movement of the Madura style in Lombok, the Pencak Lombok movement. With addition of dynamic development in each region.
As for the headquarters, taking the basic stance and methodology of the break-down exercises, Mr. Muhammad Rifai Syakib, founder of the Panca Sakti, one of the formulating teams of the international jurus tunggal and ganda, and also IPSI jury referees. Mr.M Rifai S while living for 17 years studied in cimande, and generally wing cimande. He got his permission to teach from the late Mama Acih (H. Zarkasih) cimande and also from the late Alm. Abah Salim, student from the Alm. Abah Halim in Cimande.
While the body and breathing movement was sourced from Mr. Haji Jatnika, namely Senam Hijaiyah Indknesia. Haji Jatnika also received a cimande acknowledgement from Mama Acih, and also as a resource from the IKBC. For 30 years, he promoted cimande and West Java Pencak Silat, teaching 63 Pencak Silat teachers.
The PPSSA knowledge originates from cimande, sourced from Alm. Haji Yusuf son of Alm. Haji Abdul Halim and now continued by his children.
Besides being mentioned above, other original Pencak Silat preserved and developed at PPSSA are:
- Pencak Silat Situbondo sourced from the knowledge of the late Pak Marsu.
- Pencak Sasak Lombok, sourced from the knowledge of Pak Rumawal.
PPSSA is happy to preserve the 700-year-old pencak silat scientific source. There are also those who have been more than 300 years and gladly to add friends and family through Pencak Silat
Current PPSSA chairman is Arief Supriyanto. Kak Jojo is the national trainer coach.
