Jufferi was born on January 28, 1992 in Kuantan, Malaysia. Jufferi has won the world title three times. Two of them were won in different silat championships namely the 16th World Silat Championship and World Martial Art Championships in Thailand. Mohd Al-Jufferi also had won three gold medals consecutively at the SEA Games since 2011 in Indonesia, in Myanmar in 2013 and again in the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore. He is married to Nurul farhana Abd Majid and has a son named Furqan Alhaq born September 2018.
