Athletes and participants from over 30 countries converged at the MITC Convention Center in Malacca, Malaysia for the 19th World Pencak Silat Championships. Because of the pandemic, this was the first world championships since 2018. Competitors have been anxiously awaiting this tournament. The opening ceremony included speeches, performances, Parade of Nations and special appearance from movie star Adi Putra who starred in recent film Mat Kilau. Watch recap video below:
