Muhammad Faizul Nasir is a star competitor for Malaysia. He was born in Jun 6, 1988 and competes in Class B (50-55kg). He is a two time South East Asia’s Games champion and won Silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia. He is a silver and bronze medalist at the World Pencak Silat tournaments.
He is studying mechanical engineering in school at UTM (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia) Johor Bahru in Johor, Malaysia. He started Pencak Silat when he was 15 years old. He chose Silat mainly because of his affinity towards the unique fighting style of Silat. When he was 16 years old, his coach Hanzullah Bin Abu Bakr encouraged him to join Pencak Silat competition. His first competition was in 2014 in Paling Jaya, Malaysia.
When he joined the Malaysia national team, he was the youngest athlete on the team. He was a member of Pencak Silat Seni Gayong Malaysia.
