Philipines competitor Dines Dumaan is a 2017 SEA Games gold medalist and a bronze medal at the 2019 SEA Games in Philippines. He competed in Men’s Tanding Class B (50-55 kg) event.
Born on April 29, 1995, Dines Dumaan grew up in the municipality of Panitan, Capiz in the Philipines. Dumaan the second child of six, with parents working as farmers. Dumaan worked at a young age in a sugar cane farm and had to stop studying in college to help his family. He eventually pursued Pencak Silat. In 2017, Dines ended the Philippines’ 12-year medal drought in Pencak Silat after winning a gold in the Tanding Class A for 45-kg-50kg Division in the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.
